James "Buddy" Hotchkiss
1965 - 2017

James “Buddy” Hotchkiss, 51, of N. Syracuse, passed away on Friday as a result of a motorcycle accident.

Buddy was born in Syracuse, NY to the late Bruce D. Hotchkiss and Nancy E. Doud. He was a graduate of Nottingham High School. He worked for Syracuse Cablesystems, Pentronics, Ten Hoeve Bros., Ira D. Conklin and Sons and was currently Sales Manager at Cortland Pump and Equipment. Buddy was revered by his peers in the petroleum industry. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping and mostly spending time with his family. He was anticipating the birth of his first grandchild. Buddy was the patriarch of his family and had a personality that was larger than life.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his Uncle, Bruce Doud; nephew, J.R. Birch and father-in-law, Ronald P. Bellanger.

Buddy is survived by his wife of 26 years, Laura (Bellanger); sons, Jesse (Tonya Brennan) and Cole; sisters, Connie and Bonnie (Chris Frocione) Hotchkiss; brother, David (Renee) Hotchkiss; mother-in-law, Barbara Bellanger; sisters-in-law, Andrea (Hank Trumble) Pieropan and Janis (Stephen) Becker, nieces and nephews, Lea, Tiffany, Cody, Tamicka, Alicia, Alexis, Dylan, Adam his Godson, Clayton, Frederick and Henry; great-nieces, Arianna and Gianna; great-nephew, Cameron and many other extended family members and friends.

Calling hours will be Wednesday 4-8PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse.
