Albert Sobey, 93, of Jamesville passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday.
Al worked at GE for 20 years. He was Deputy Sheriff for Onondaga county. He was also director of security for many properties throughout the Syracuse area.
He enjoyed sitting outside with his dog Rocky and bantering with his neighbors who became family over the years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jacquelin Sobey; children, Rosemary Burlingame, Diane (Glen) Sutcliffe, Sally Davies, John (Elaine) Sobey, Albert (Darlene) Sobey Jr., Stanley Sobey, Jacquelin (Phil) Ciaramella, Claire (Dave) Swank, Cynthia (Thane) Moss, James (Michelle) Sobey; grandchildren, Dylan Sobey who was his best friend, Tara Nelson, William Davies, Rebecca Sanchez as well as many other grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Visitation will take place Sunday, 2-5 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. There will be no service.
