Andrew G. Van Ryn, 79, of North Syracuse passed away on Friday.
Andy worked on the St. Lawrence Seaway as a surveyor in his earlier years. He was a dedicated core finisher at Oberdorfer Foundry of E. Syracuse for over 54 years where he held the position as the oldest employee there up until the company closed. He was also a US Army veteran.
Andy was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Boston Red Sox fan. He loved to read and watch movies. He loved to spend time with his entire family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Jean Van Ryn; Son, Scott (Eleanor) Van Ryn; 2 Granddaughters, Madelyn and Lillian Van Ryn.
Visitation will take place Monday, 3-5 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. Burial will be private.
