Ron worked at Carrier for 39 years as a repairman. He was an avid NY Yankee’s and SU Basketball fan. He loved to travel to visit family with his wife.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deb Whelan; children, Tim (Jill) Whelan, Dawn (Vince) Gibney and Ron (Chrissy) Whelan Jr.; sister, Judy (George) Kremin; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Charles Whelan.
Visitation will take place Wednesday, 4-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. A memorial service will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ASPCA.
