Virginia E. Farley, 99, of Syracuse passed away on Wednesday at Loretto Nursing Home with her loving family by her side.
Virginia was born in Ilion on November 2, 1917 the daughter of the late Michael and Pauline Musa. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and was the matriarch of the family. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She worked many years for the IRS in Syracuse. She also worked for Dey Bros., Fanny Farmer and in her later years she enjoyed working at the laundrymat talking with the customers. She was predeceased by her husband, James E. Farley, her 3 sisters; Anna, Louise, Mary and her brother Leonard.
Surviving are her daughter Patricia Farley, granddaughters; Theresa Goff, Virginia (Peter) Thompson, great grandchildren; Kristi, Pete, Michelle, Chantelle, Jade, Monique, Sharon & Michael, along with numerous great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchild.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm., N. Syracuse.
A funeral mass will be held Wednesday at 10 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Syracuse.
Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
