Bruce A. Hertzberg, 55, of Cicero, passed away September 20, 2017. Bruce was employed by Metropolitan Syracuse Wastewater Treatment Plant in Syracuse.

He is survived by his wife, Claudia Hertzberg, sons, Brian A. Hertzberg and Eric Z. Hertzberg. Bruce was strong and faced his health challenges with dignity and strength, maintaining a wonderful sense of humor.

He inspired and left many in awe of his perseverance and resolve. He touched many lives through his passion for physical fitness and health. He instilled a confidence in everyone that he trained. In his spare time Bruce enjoyed gardening.

His flowers always provided a beautiful scene for passersby. Bruce loved to cook and was often watching the Food Network to get inspired. Bruce was the neighborhood welcoming committee and also the one others called on when they needed help with anything. He touched so many lives and will truly be missed by everyone who knew him.
