Alan G. Parent, 57, of Liverpool, passed away unexpectedly on Monday. He was born in Syracuse on August 15, 1960 son of Rodger and Patricia Parent. Al enjoyed singing Sweet Caroline, and loved spending time with family & friends. Al was owner-operator of Alan Parent Painting, 3rd Generation.

He also enjoyed spending his winters in Hilton Head Island with his entire family. Alan’s smile and his witty sense of humor will be missed by all.

Alan is survived by his wife of 38 years, Christine, 3 daughters, Mary (Sean) Branning, Nicole Parent (Louis Kimball, IV), Alyssa Parent (Michael Reed), grandchildren, Tyler Dessaure & Annabella Branning, brothers, Robert (Sherry) Parent, David (Amy) Parent, Michael (Joanne) Parent, sisters-In-Law, Susan (Marvin) Mulligan, Cindy (Michael) Stauber, brother-in-law, Rick Ketaily, (Kevin), his lifelong friend Michael Mulcahy, along with nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services to follow.
