Born in Syracuse on July 21, 1925, she was the daughter of Thomas and Lauretta (Doyle) Cullivan.
She was employed with the Onondaga County DA Office for many years. Lauretta spent many wonderful years raising her four children, attending their sporting events and spending time at Hamilton Park Swim Club. She enjoyed going on family vacations, her five grandchildren, gardening, being outdoors and the sunshine.
She is survived by her daughters; Mary Pat Spiegel (Paul Auletta), Betsy Spiegel (Gene Boyle), Joanne (Michael) Carolan, son, James (Tricia) Spiegel, grandchildren, Patrick (Anne), Thomas, Kate, Meghan and Kelly, as well as her nieces and nephew.
The family would like to thank the staff on the 12th Floor at the Cunningham for their wonderful care.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Funeral services will be held on Saturday 9:45am from the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Assumption Cemetery.
Because of Lauretta’s love of animals, in lieu of flowers contributions in her name may be made to CNY SNAP, a low cost spay/neuter and animal adoption program, 178 Central Ave., Cortland, NY 13045.
