1935 - 2017

Rosemary P. Cordon, age 82, of Liverpool, passed away on Monday at home surrounded by family. She was born in Syracuse on January 8, 1935. Rosemary was a graduate of St. Anthony’s of Padua School and retired from Carrier Corporation after 20 years of service. She was an avid member of St. Matthew’s Church for many years, where she taught religious education.
She enjoyed reading and in her younger years, her vacations to Florida, swimming, walking, bicycling and roller blading.

Rosemary is survived by her children, Karen (Thomas) Kane, Russell (Keryn) Cordon, Andrew (Pamela) Cordon, Charles (Marci) Cordon, Thomas Cordon, Catherine (Anthony) Fiorini, grandchildren, Matthew & Melissa Kane, Emily, Rachel & Jessica Cordon, Nicolas Fiorini, Misty Schoenthal and great grandchildren, Kelsey & Landon Kane. Along with her brother-in-law, Joseph (Will) Mulrooney, sister-in-law Jean Moynihan as well as many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband James R. Cordon, her brothers, Andrew & Thomas and sister Nancy.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 9:00am at St. Matthews Church, East Syracuse. Burial will follow at Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery.
