Terrance E. Laxton, aged 66, of Liverpool, passed into the care of his Lord on Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Terrance was born on September 15th, 1951 in Geneva, NY, to the late Roland and Marjorie (Read) Laxton. Terry was a lifelong resident of Central NY, and was a 1971 graduate of Solvay High School. A steelworker for 32 years at Crucible, Terry was also employed by Coca-Cola. He was an avid bowler, and a good friend to many. His wife, children, and grandchildren were his pride and joy, and Terry always put his family first. He fought for the rights of the worker and his colleagues, and exemplified the values of dignity and hard work.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Geralyn R. (Mingolelli) Laxton, son Terrance C. Laxton, daughter Courtenay Mingolelli-Laxton, 2 grandchildren, Karol and Mychael, and siblings Roland "Ron" (Patricia) Laxton, Howard (Sandy) Laxton, Gary (Angie) Laxton, Louise (James) Dunn, Wendy Laxton-Wilson, Suzanne (Michael) Laxton Kennedy, and Jeffrey (Gail) Laxton, along with many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 13th, 2017 at 6:00PM, with a memorial service to follow from 7:00-8:00PM, at Vintage Faith Church, 6836 Rte. 31 in Cicero.
