Cindy L. Zielinski, 61, of East Syracuse, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday after a long battle with Lupus. Cindy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She had amazing strength and an incredible will to live. Cindy was very personable and was easy to befriend and love. Although disabled, she was still able to enjoy her trips to the casino, making crafts, watching her favorite shows and especially spending time with her family.

Cindy was predeceased by her father, Roger Forest Sr; siblings, T.C. Malfa, Kim Forest and Roger Forest Jr.

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Walter Zielinski; three children, Melissa (Chris Bell) Zielinski, Aaron (Emily) Zielinski and Brian (Erin) Zielinski; four grandchildren, Alexander, Cassia, Dalton and Zachary; mother, Benita "Bonnie" Golden; sister, Sandra (Leonard) Morse; brother, Frank Malfa; best friend, Kathy Zankowski; several nieces and nephews and her constant companion/dog, Jasmine.

Calling hours will be Saturday 1-4pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse with a service to follow at 4pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Lupus Alliance of Upstate New York, 3871 Harlem Road, Buffalo, NY 14215.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff and doctors at Upstate and Crouse Hospital who cared for her over the years and also the EnMotion Amputee Support Group for their friendship and support.
