He was born on August 4, 1930 in Auburn son of the late Albert and Margaret Stone.
He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from Crucible Steel. Richard was also a member of the Masonic Order Lodge #525 in Liverpool and the United Church of Christ in Bayberry where he was a Deacon.
Richard is survived by his wife, Shirley (Swindon) Stone of 64 years, children, Robin (Bob) Doyle, Christine (Timothy) Guinta, Eric (Cheryl) Stone, Barbara (Christopher) Figie, Joseph (Rebecca) LeBlanc, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Kathleen Stone.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday at United Church of Christ, 215 Blackberry Rd., Liverpool, from 12-1pm with services following at 1pm.
The family sends their sincere appreciation to the staff at the Masonic Home for their loving care to Richard.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Masonic Care Community, 2150 Bleecker St., Utica, NY 13501.
