He was born on June 14, 1946 in Syracuse, son of the late Raymond “Bud”and Margaret “Peg” Abar. Rube enjoyed fishing, golfing, & being with friends and family.
Surviving are his 3 daughters; April (Jim) Carlett, Heather (Matt) Laroche, Shannon Abar, his sister, Julie Letham, former wife Sharon Abar, 3 grandsons; Cody, Henry & Jack, along with nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3-4pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services at 4pm.
