Albert was a resident of Bayberry for 46 years until he moved to Park Rose Estates where he was an active member of the community.
He was a graduate of Vocational High School in Syracuse where he played baseball and basketball. He proudly managed and ran the family business, Smalls Control System for 47 years.
He married the love of his life, Dorothy and spent 62 happy years together until her passing in 2012. Albert was a member and trustee at Trinity United Methodist Church in Clay, NY. A social butterfly, he liked to perform in the Park Rose Chorus, write articles for their monthly newsletter, act in their musical productions and perform his stand-up comedy routines. Albert was also a fierce competitor when playing any and all games. He loved animals, sports and going out to eat with his family.
He was predeceased by his son, Stephen Hampton; sister, Margaret Klipp and brother-in-law, David Klipp.
Albert is survived by his daughter, Sandra (Michael) Hallihan and two granddaughters, Meghan and Kellie.
Calling hours will be Thursday 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse with a service to follow at 7pm.
