James C. Stonecipher, 85, of Liverpool, passed away March 19, 2018.

James was born in Liverpool, New York on September 21, 1932 to the late Parker and Cora Stonecipher.

Jim retired from Borden’s Ice Cream, Mattydale, NY.

Jim was a devoted husband, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather. He loved spending time with his entire family. He was very proud of his service to his country and often shared stories of his time in the U.S. Army with his family.

He was preceded in death by wife, Virginia Stonecipher in 2016.

He is survived by his step-son, Norman (Donna) Patrick; grandchildren, Anne (James) Busco, William (Valerie) Patrick, Joseph (Cathy) Patrick and Susan (Lenny) Patrick; 8 great grandchildren, JT, Dolly (Chris), Abraham, Shannon, Lilly (Ryan), Sammy, Jonah and Hannah; 4 great great grandchildren, Aiden, Annabelle, Avery and Vito; siblings, Harold, Ruth, Mary Alice and Amon and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, 11-1 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse. Burial will be private.
