Ardis was born on October 7, 1921 in Philadelphia, NY, daughter of the late Leslie and Maybelle (Place) Hickok.
She enjoyed camping , Family Feud and her 5 O’Clock Frosted Mug.
She was predeceased by husbands, Gordon Pitre and Donald Quackenbush, daughter Sharon Squires, son Gary Pitre, and grandson Michael Squires, Sr.
Ardis is survived by her children:, Joseph L. (Paulette) Pitre, Penny (Robert) Bennett, Ralph (Beverly) Pitre, Barbara Clifford, Linda Lancette, Terry (Steven) Emmons, Randy (Linda) Pitre, Bryan Pitre, daughter-in-law, Maryann Pitre, 34 grandchildren, 73 great grandchildren, 103 great great grandchildren, 1 great great great granddaughter.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2018, from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Graveside services will be held on Monday at 11am at White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of CNY or to Office Of The Aging, 70 Bunner St., Oswego, NY 13126.
