Gertrude, 94, died May 2, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Gertrude C. Hans of Malba, NY.

She was predeceased by her brothers Joseph, Richard, Anthony and Jimmy, and sister Therese.

She was employed as secretary to the Vice President of Union Mutual Life Insurance in New York City as well as legal secretary at General Electric in Syracuse for over 25 years.

She is survived by daughters Linda (David) Pitonzo and Susan (Peter) Mazzaferro as well as 3 grandchildren, Michael (Sarah), Tenley and Evan and 2 great-grandchildren, Angelo and Alyvia; sisters-in-law Grace and Doranne and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services are at the convenience of the family.

Sincere thanks to the staff of the A Wing at St. Luke's Nursing Home in Oswego for taking great care of her in her remaining years. The entire staff from the front desk personnel to the nurse's station to the maintenance staff are angels!!
