Kalene was born in Massena, New York on September 1, 1953 to Charles Charland and Marie (Stickney) Niles.
She enjoyed collecting frogs, playing bingo, and going to the casino with her best friend Darlene Casler.
She was preceded in death by her loving Husband, John "Jack" Kirkpatrick; Father, Charles E. Charland; Step-Mother, Theresa Charland; Brother, Robert "Bob" Charland.
She is survived by her Mother, Marie A. (Stickney) Niles; Daughters, Tamika (Heck) Kratzer and Jelene Kirkpatrick; Brother, Loris E. Charland; Sisters, Brenda (Charland) Romeo and Melissa J. Charland; Six Grandchildren, Ian, Alyssia, Tad, Sean, Zak and Jaxson; Special cousin, Kathy Ann Saumier; two furry companions, Gizmo and Pablo; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse. A funeral service will follow at 8 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
