In Memory Of
James A. Dixon
1952 - 2018

Pastor James "Jim" Dixon, 65, returned to his heavenly home on May 9, 2018 at 12:43 AM in
Syracuse, New York. He was a servant of Christ and an extraordinary man of God. His devotion to
God, family, and soul winning were his passions here on earth.

Jim was born June 29, 1952 in Syracuse, NY to Clifford and June Marie Dixon, deceased. He is
survived by his wife of 47 years Cornelia Thiele Dixon, sons Eric (Yvonne), Christopher, Corey
(Christie), Elijah and Solomon (Amanda), 1 daughter Jennifer (Harry), 18 grandchildren, and
many foster children.

Jim gave his life to the Lord and served the Lord diligently ever since accepting his
call to the ministry. He wanted nothing more but to have others trust the Lord and be faithful
witnesses. He established Cross Cultural Baptist Church which ultimately merged with
Immanuel Baptist Church in Syracuse. Through his dedication and godly example, he inspired
others and led many to know the Lord.

A celebration of Jim's life will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Immanuel Baptist Church at
301 Howard ave Syracuse, N.Y. Visitation will start at 9 am and service starts at 10am with
Pastors Dan Smith and Carl Lyman officiating. Burial will be following service at Oakwood Cemetery in
Syracuse. We will meet again following burial service at Immanuel Baptist Church for food and fellowship.

We rejoice this day that he is with his Savior! Jim's trials are past and he's home at last....
Matthew 25:21
His lord said unto him, well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a
few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.
