John W. Keefe, 94, of North Syracuse passed away on Wednesday peacefully at his home.
John retired in 1984 after 41 years working in field programs at GE. After retirement he volunteered with Meals on Wheels for over a decade. He was an avid fan of SU Sports and the Boston Red Sox. He was predeceased by his wonderful wife, Elizabeth, in 2014.
John is survived by his children, Kathleen (Robert) Bowers, Michael Keefe, Patricia (Jack) Reed, Susan (Michael) Tutor, Kevin Keefe, grandchildren;, Stacey Keefe, Allyson Bowers, Kirk Reed, Michael Keefe, Ashley Bowers, Stephanie Alberici, K.C. Reed, along with 7 great grandchildren.
Services and burial will be private. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
