Arthur J. “Art” Caples, 80, of North Syracuse, passed away on Sunday surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Christmas in 1934 in Syracuse. He retired from Catholic Charities in Syracuse, he enjoyed fishing and the outdoors.
Art also enjoyed taking care of stray cats at Catholic Charities.
Surviving are his beloved wife Gertha of 60 years, his 6 children; Joseph (Patricia), Eileen (William) Boubong, Ruth (Larry) Mossow, Gail (Raymond) Shutts, Fay (Ron Breman), David (Jane), 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by 3 brothers; James, David & Eugene.
A Memorial service will be held on Thursday May 21st. 5pm at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse.
