Gordon Allan Campbell Taylor passed to eternal life on September 1, 2015 surrounded by his family. Gordon was born in Syracuse, New York on April 18, 1928 to George Taylor and Verna (Campbell) Taylor and spent his childhood and the majority of his adult life in Syracuse, New York, until 1979 when he moved to Phoenix, Arizona. Gordon graduated from Syracuse University with a graduate degree in electrical engineering and spent the majority of his career at General Electrics.

In 1958, Gordon married the love of his life Shirley (Romeiser) Taylor and together they had three children. Gordon was an overall amazing husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather whom will be forever missed by all who were fortunate enough to know and be loved by him. Gordon is survived by his loving family, son George (Maria), daughters Pam and Laurie, grandson Jesse (Deborah), granddaughter Amy, and great-grandaughters Desiree and Jasmine. Gordon is preceded in death by his wife Shirley Taylor, parents George and Verna Taylor and sister Marilyn Coniber.

A celebration of Gordon’s life will be held with visitation on September 4th, 2015 at 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and services on September 5th at 10 a.m., at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 North Main Street, North Syracuse, New York 13202.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation in his honor would be appreciated and can be made to the Arizona Cancer Society.
