August 31st 2015

Nancy K. Mulrooney (Moynihan) of North Syracuse, New York, passed away peacefully on August 31 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Syracuse New York on March 5, 1930 to Thomas and Anna May Moynihan, Nancy was raised on the South Side of Syracuse and graduated from St. Anthony's of Padua. Nancy was a homemaker for many years prior to a career in retail, however, her favorite role in life was that of wife, mother, and grandmother.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, tending to her flower gardens, and sharing her faith with the children of the parishes of St. Rose and St. Margaret's where Nancy taught CCD for many years.

She was predeceased by brothers Andrew and Thomas.

Surviviors include cherished husband of 62 years, Joseph "Will" Mulrooney; dear sister, Rosemary Cordon; six devoted children, Michael Mulrooney (Mary), Susan Scampini (Paul), Patricia Blazek (Thomas), Martin Mulrooney (Jac-lyn), Marybeth Herring (David), and Carolyn Madigan (David); adored grandchildren, Matthew, Amanda, Emily, Laura, Gregory, Patrick, John, Lauren, Marissa, Erin, and Katie as well as many nieces and nephews.

Nancy lived a full life guided by strong faith, kindness to others, and generosity to those in need. Nancy was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to St. Rose of Lima in N. Syracuse on Saturday, September 5 from 10 am to 12 pm for calling hours with a Memorial Mass to follow at 12 pm.
