L. Earl Torsleff, 86, of N. Syracuse, passed away on Saturday. Earl was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Earl worked at New York Telephone from 1956 until his retirement in 1989.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Debra Lapoint Chauvaux; a grandson, Patrick Hays; sister, Norma Dennis and a cousin, Frank Torsleff.
Earl is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dolores (Dear); daughter, Linda (Joseph) Monteforte; son, David (Cindy) Torsleff; grandchildren, Scott (Amy) Hays, Jason (Jessica) Hays, Joseph Hays, David (Naomi) Torsleff, Heather (Jamie) Casullo, Gregory Lapoint, Kyle Lapoint and Brian Lapoint; six great-grandchildren and a niece, Karen (Bruce) Paquette.
