Kalliopi Simianakis, 88, passed away on Friday peacefully after a long illness at Upstate University Hospital.
Kalliopi was born in Greece the daughter of the late Stavros and Caterina Haronitis. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and taking care of her family.
She was predeceased by her husband Spyridon and her son, Michael.
Kalliopi is survived by her daughter, Catina Egloff, grandchildren, Christopher (Rebecca)Egloff, Elizabeth (Kevin) Walts, Willard (Beverly) Egloff, great grandchildren, Abigail, Helena, Willow, Abraham, and John.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 10-11am at St. Sophias Greek Orthodox Church, 325 Waring Rd., Syracuse. Services will be held at 11am at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
