Robert J. “Bob” Ruley, 72, of Cicero, passed away on Wednesday at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on September 2, 1942 in Syracuse. He owned and operated R.J. Ruley & Son Construction Co., Inc. in Los Angeles, CA for over 20 years. Bob was a member of the South Shore Association.
Surviving are his beloved wife Arlene of 55 years, 2 daughters: Denise (Jerry) Whiston, Tina (Mark) Uvaas, son Robert, II (Christi), 8 grandchildren: Jeremy, Kevin, Trisha, Steven, Andrew, Tori, Robby & Brook, great granddaughter, Abby, along with 3 sisters: Lynn Messenger, Penny Oakes & Linda Opella.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Services will be held on Wednesday 10am at the funeral home followed by burial at Assumption Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY.
