Julius J. “Sonny” Boeglin, Jr., 82, of Camillus, passed away peacefully on Monday. Born in Passaic, NJ to Mary and Julius J. Boeglin, Sr. Sonny served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He owned and operated Modern Warehouse in Newark, N.J. and later became a school bus driver for the Marcellus School District in Marcellus, NY.
Sonny is survived by his loving wife, Mildred; 10 children, John J. Boeglin III, Patricia Boeglin, Thomas Boeglin, Anne-Marie Schmidt, Barbara Danczak, Pamela Boeglin, David Boeglin, Sgt. John J. Boeglin, Joshua J. Boeglin, Richard Timian; 9 grandchildren and a dear friend, John Ahlbeck of Short Hills, NJ who was a longtime fishing buddy of Sonny.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday 10:30AM at St. Joseph’s Church, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus, NY 13031. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208.
