Frank R. Gaca, 91, of Cicero, passed away on Wednesday at home. He was born on September 7, 1923, son of the late Joseph and Julia Gaca. He retired from Crouse Hinds and later from Assumption Cemetery. He was an avid gardener, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He was predeceased by his step-son, Kevin Michael Nash.

Surviving are his daughter, Sharon (Thomas) Ligoci, step daughter, Michele Nash, grandchildren: Christine (David) O’Reilly, Thomas Ligoci & Adam (Sarah) Nash, great grandchildren: Shannon & Sara O’Reilly, Tyler Nash, sister, Virginia (Irving) Quinn, sister-in-law Sophie Gaca, his former wife, Lucille Wojcik, nieces, nephews and several close friends.

Frank’s family would like to thank the caring and compassionate PACE Staff at Forest View at Fayette and the Loretto Clinic.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 1-4pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. A funeral mass will be held on Monday 10am at St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial will take place at Assumption Cemetery.
