Memories & Condolences

Sincere sympathy for Mr. Fuller's Family and Friends. I remember him when he came on board in the Guidance Office at EJD in the late 60s. He was always pleasant and had a friendly smile for all including my mother who was the office's secretary at that time. What a lovely outpouring of kind thoughts for this gentle soul. He will be missed.

Nancy, Steve and Family,
I was saddened to learn of Chuck's passing.
I had the pleasure of working with Chuck in both EJD and JCB, and of knowing him in a personal capacity as well. It is a testament to him that so many of our former students have left fond memories on this site. Know that he did make a difference in many lives.
You are in my thoughts and prayers. He will be greatly missed.

~ Bobbi Paronett - September 18, 2013

Thoughts and prayers to Mr. Fuller's family from mine. He made a difference in the lives of so many students. What a legacy to leave behind.

~ Jerry Emmons - September 15, 2013

My deepest sympathy and you are in my prayers. I wasn't able to attend Chuck's Memorial Service Friday because of babysitting my granddaughters so I stopped at your house to give you a hug but no one answered. I have many fond memories of Chuck and working with both of you at EJD and at St.Stephen's Church. Chuck will be missed.

When Karen died Joanne Weiss gave me a card with a saying by Elbert Hubbard which I still carry with me everyday and I hope it will help you through this difficult time:
Always remember to forget the things that made you sad,
But never forgot the things that made you glad.

~ Susan Cusenz - September 15, 2013

Mr. Fuller will always be part of my Jr High memories. He was always there for us not just as a guidance councilor. You will be missed.

~ Jeffery Beeching - September 10, 2013

Chuck was one of the strongest child advocates that I have ever worked with. He had incredible patience and was a valuable member of the EJD staff, as well as a dedicated husband and proud father. He will be missed.

~ Linda Paracka - September 9, 2013

Chuck was one of those folks who was just nice to everyone. I remember he once helped me when my car ran out of gas whne I first started teaching in Pennellville. Stephen was a student in my class later on; the whole family was wonderful to work with. He will be missed by many.

~ Dona McIntyre - September 8, 2013

Nancy, Steve and family;
Nancy and I were shocked to read of Chuck's passing in Sunday's paper. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all. Another member of our EJD family has now left us. What memories we have of the great times together both at EJD and at the various activities outside of school. Chuck was always there to liven things up with his quick wit and beaming smile and great laugh. In school he was always there to offer his support and suggestions when needed. Thank you Chuck and Nancy for being a part of our lives. Nancy, our deepest sympathies are with you and please stay in touch.

To Nancy and family,

Sorry to say good-bye to my friend Chuck. We fought many battles together on behalf of the EJD middle school students with learning disabilities. We also had many fun times bowling in the Phoenix Teachers League and square dancing. Chuck and Nancy were great partners while we learned all the new steps together. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you all.

~ Dave and Linda Borst - September 8, 2013

I dont think i can ever remember him without a smile. He loved his family very much!!! My heart goes out to the Fuller family. The world lost amazing man!!!!!!!

Nancy & Steve and family: We are so sorry to hear of Charles passing. We didn't know Charles but we knew his son Steve from Val's motors. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Allan & Frances Hull

~ Allan & Frances Hull - September 8, 2013

Ah, "Memories", too many to commit to this brief note; however, all associated with joined-at-the-hip friends, Kay & Andy Anderson, and with most involving square dancing, camping, and a host of other things that people who love each other do.
Our prayers are now that "Chuck's", "Eternal Rest", is anything but - and somehow enjoying a new and heavenly body, in activities so grand, that he will never be bored in an eternity together with friends and family.

God Speed "Chuck" you. Dick & Irma

Mr. Fuller will always be part of my Jr High memories. He was always there for us not just as a guidance councilor. You will be missed. Class of 83.

~ Nancy Converse Johnson - September 6, 2013

Nancy, I will miss Chuck at Sterling. He was a model resident who gave it his all to make the park a great place to live. It is a sad time when I would see all the snowbirds leave. I would always worry that one or two might not return. I never suspected Chuck would be one of those folks. May we all learn that we should not take our friends and neighbors for granted. I know that I surely will not. My day always got a little brighter every time I saw Chuck walking and when he waved to me. My day got much brighter when he spoke to me. He once told my uncle that "that guy (me) sure talks a lot". So I wont post a novel here, just know Chuck will be missed and always remembered in a positive light in the hearts of all who knew him.

~ Dave Cole - September 6, 2013

Nancy, So sorry to hear of Chuck's passing. We will both miss you and Chuck in Watkins Glen, September weekend, and your surprise visits to STW 108, Camping and Square-Dancing. The lord gave us great memories and we sure do have a lot of them. With all the past square-dancing friends that have started their own private club in the heavens, we know that Chuck will fit right in. Bet you he will learn that Cha-Cha, or was it Fox Trot, for when you arrive at his side. Love You!

~ Dale and Charlie Nientimp - September 6, 2013

We met Chuck in Sterling Park, Lakeland, FL. He was collecting membership dues. My first impression was accurate. What a happy-go-lucky guy, with a warm smile, pleasant and friendly person. His announcements at the weekly coffee hour were always entertaining with his grat whit and humor. Park residents are going to miss him dearly. Nancy, we are thinking of you at this difficult time. Take one day at a time and keep Chuck memory alive in your heart.

He will truly be missed by all that knew him.

~ Anna Renfrew - September 6, 2013

Nancy, I am so sorry for you and your family. Chuck was such a nice man. When I started working at the Phoenix High School, he took me under his wing and taught me everything he knew. He became a great friend and mentor. We had a lot of fun times together. I always enjoyed his yearly visit and I will miss him greatly. My birthday will not be the same this year. I always looked forward to seeing him come to the guidance office and deliver my birthday card. He never missed a year. He loved his family and his cat. He always had pictures to share. Take Care Nancy.

~ Lisa Gaudreau - September 6, 2013

As a parent member of Phoenix CSD CSE, Mr. 'Chuck' Fuller was always there for the kids. Truly a class act and will be missed by many. Rest in peace my friend, heaven just received a great man.

~ Greg Shaffer - September 5, 2013

We are so sorry to learn of Chuck's passing.

He and Nancy were our close neighbors on Bridge Boulevard in the Sterling Mobile Home Park, Lakeland, Fl.

He'll be sorely missed in the Park as he was involved in so much ( very often with Nancy ), for the direct benefit of the Park residents and I enjoyed his dry sense of humor when he 'wore his many hats' in giving reports at the weekly coffee morning of various club activities.

He threw himself with great gusto into all that he involved himself with.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Nancy and your family at this time.

~ Robin and Ruth Aldrich - September 5, 2013

Chuck and I spent 30 years working together at the Phoenix Middle School and for quite a few years we carpooled back and forth as he only lives a short distance from my wife and me. I enjoyed his company and he will be missed. Rest in peace, my friend.

~ Charles Beams - September 5, 2013

I will always remember Chuck for his great sense of humor and kindness to others. He had such a gentle way of calming people around him. I appreciated all the assistance he gave me when I became HOA treasurer. He will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to Nancy and the rest of his family.
