Amaya “Joy” Stethers, 14, of Syracuse passed away suddenly on Thursday.
Amaya was born on October 4, 2002 daughter of Deborah and Andre Hobbs. She was a student at Edward Smith K-8. She was a member of the Syracuse Community Choir. Amaya will be remembered for her precious and infectious smile and will be greatly missed by all.
Amaya is survived by her mother, Deborah, her father Andre and her guardian David Rushing, brother, Miguel Nieves, sister, Adara Hobbs, several half siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
