Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Wheeler, 95, of North Syracuse, passed away October 5, 2017. Mary was born in Fulton, New York on June 13, 1922 to the late Eugene and Mary Wilson.

Betty attended Traphagen School of Fashion, New York City. She taught for 25 years at the North Syracuse School District and worked 13 years as a manager for Stylish Women. She was a Civic Social Club of Syracuse member for many years.

In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, spending time with her grandchildren and family. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years Robert "Bob" three siblings, Eugene, Kathryn and William.

She is survived by Daughter, Karen E. (Gary Lockwood) Wheeler, Sons, Robert Wheeler and Kenneth (Patty) Wheeler, three Grandchildren, Mandy Bashore, Casey Bashore and Kelly Wheeler.

Family and friends may call on Monday, October 9, 2017 from 1pm- 3pm and 5pm-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 North Main, North Syracuse, Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 10am Tuesday. Interment at N. Syracuse Cemetery will be private.
