Richard was born in Syracuse, New York on November 12, 1947 to the late Pierre and Laurette Berube. Richard was a Marine Corps Vietnam veteran. He retired from Bryant and Stratton College. In his free time he was an avid antique radio collector, enjoyed camping, and was a classic car enthusiast. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Nancy (Phillips) Berube; two daughters, Wendy (Tom) Griffin, and Emily (Justin) Schug; a son, Aaron (Kimberly) Berube; six grandchildren, Thomas Griffin, Jr., Andrew Griffin, Jackson Berube, Christian Schug, Dylan Schug, and Olivia Schug; two sisters, Lucille Tammaro, and Lucille Cosentino; two brothers, Paul Berube, Maurice Berube; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, from 3pm-6pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY 13212, where funeral services will be held at 6pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Honor Flight Network of Syracuse.
