Jack Carter, 72, of Mattydale, passed away March 5, 2018. Jack was born in Syracuse, New York on September 8, 1945 to the late William and Katherine Carter. Jack enjoyed spending time with his son and grandchildren, playing pool, horseshoes, and spending time with friends at Mcdonald's. He worked all his life as a carpenter to provide for his family. He was preceded in death by his siblings Robert, William, and Yvonne. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane Rawson Carter; son, Jack (Jessica) Carter Jr.; grandchildren, Alexis, Ariana, and Jaxon; and a sister, Lillian (Dutchie) Piniskie. Family and friends may call on Monday, from 3 - 5 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St, North Syracuse, NY 13212 , where funeral services will be held at 5pm. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
