Mary Ann was born on May 9, 1942, the daughter of the late Henry and Gertrude Schafransky.
She enjoyed playing bingo, going out to lunch, and walking.
Mary Ann retired from Muench-Kreuzer Candle Co. in 2008, after 47 ½ years.
Mary Ann is survived by her favorite nephew, Scott (Susan) Longale, and special niece Diane Longale (Patric) Hanlon. She is also survived by her stepson Richard Howard, Jr. (Betsey), and stepdaughter, Dawn Howard, brother-in-law, Gene Longale, sister-in-law, Jan White, and nieces: Valerie, Cheryl, Lisa and Tina.
She was predeceased by her brother Henry Schafransky in 1985, her husband, Richard Howard in 2012, and her sister Trudy Longale in 2015.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
Services will be held on Thursday 10 am at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to Francis House or to Hospice of CNY.
