Arlene Woods passed away after a brief illness at St Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by her husband and three children on April 13th. Mrs. Woods was born on November 24, 1932 in Syracuse, NY to the late Robert and Florence Schultz. She married her husband Terrence on September 9, 1967. Prior to her marriage she was a member of the St. Mary’s Convent for 13 years where she worked in both the school and the hospital. At the time of her death she resided in Cicero, NY and was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church.

Arlene is survived by her husband of 50 years Terrence of Cicero and her children Matthew of Franklin, Virginia, Theresa (Claudio) Salomone of Clay and Peter (Kathryn) of Baldwinsville. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren Shelby, Elijah & Grady Woods, Dominic, Eva, & Lorenzo Salomone, and Sydney, Nathanial, & Zachary Woods.

In addition to her parents, Arlene is predeceased by her 2 brothers (Robert & John) and her sister (Mary). She is also predeceased by her grandson Joshua Woods.

Friends and family may pay their respects on April 16th from 4-7 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, North Syracuse. A full Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Cicero on April 17th at 10 AM. Reception Luncheon to follow. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her honor to either the SPCA or Humane Society of Syracuse, NY.
