Edward J. Waterman, 57, of Hastings, passed away on Monday morning. He was born in Syracuse to the late Ed and Carolyn Waterman. He resided in Mattydale as a child and was one of six children. Eddie attended St. Margaret’s Elementary School and later graduated from Bishop Grimes High School. He earned two Associate Degrees, one from Colorado Mountain College and the other from Morrisville State College. He ran Gravina’s Garden Center in Cicero until he started his own buriness, Waterman’s Nursery. Eddie was a vendor at the Regional Market for over 25 years. He loved fishing, boating and basically anything he could do outdoors.

Eddie was predeceased by one sister, Laure Waterman.

He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Rebecca; four siblings, Karen (Robert) Magee, Steven (Leanne) Waterman, Donna (Stephen) Paravati and Julie (Curt) Heidel; four step-children, Michael Richardson, Jennie Reid, Stephanie Reid and Timothy Reid and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is being planned for Autumn. Because the family grows flowers, please don’t send flowers.
