Kenneth L. Barber, 84, of Cicero, passed away at home after a long illness and went home to be with his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ with joy on July 2, 2018.

He was best remembered for his love for his Lord, Wife, Children, Parents, Family and his service to his Lord.

A U.S. Army Veteran, Ken worked at Bristol Myers for 24 years and then went on to serve at the Rescue Mission as Director of Operations. He then worked as Director of Pastoral Care at North Syracuse Baptist Church. He also was a member of Gideon International for over 50 years. He enjoyed traveling the world in his retirement, especially time at the summer camp in the Adirondacks.

Kenneth was born in Johnson City, New York on May 17, 1934 to the late Arthur and Pauline Barber.

He is survived by his Wife of 62 years, Delores A. Barber, three Sons, Kenneth L. (Marcia) Barber Jr., David L. Barber, Mark E. Barber; Daughter, Karen L. (Jim) Burke; two Grandchildren, David Barber and Natalie Barber. His family are grateful for his Christian example.

Visitation will take place Saturday, 1-4 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, 2 PM at Northside Church, 7965 Oswego Road, Liverpool.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Rescue Mission, Gideon International, North Syracuse Baptist Church or Northside Church.
