Esther Cavanaugh, 70, of Liverpool, passed away August 2. Esther was born in Los Angeles, California on November 6, 1947 to the late Juventino and Mercy Herrera.

She enjoyed helping people frequently opening her home, feeding, clothing, and giving them hope. She loved fishing, crossword puzzles, and her favorite program The Waltons. Wherever there was a crowd of laughing people, Esther was the one making them laugh. She loved her grandkids, creating stories, and always making sure they had what they needed.

Esther is survived by her husband of 14 years, James Cavanaugh; two sons, Eddie (Danielle) De La Riva, Johnny (Kimberly) De La Riva; three daughters, Diane (Joseph) Salatino, Elizabeth (David) Atkins, and Desiree De La Riva; grandchildren, Eddie Jr, Steven (Laura), Joshua, Linzie, Ryan, Lauren, Lynette, Britney, Dyllan, Connor, Amiyah, Selena, Xavier, Justin, Adam, and Kerra.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, from 1pm-2pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY 13212 where a funeral services will be held at 2pm.
