She was preceded in death by her Husband of 62 years, Edward Donnelly. She met Edward in Richmond, VA while he served in the military and where they later would marry. They eventually moved to the Syracuse area.
Elvin was born in Roxboro, North Carolina on January 9, 1931 to the late Thomas and Willoughby Wilkins, being 1 of 10 children.
Elvin retired from NY Telephone Company after 35 years. Elvin and Edward were avid fishermen and moved to Florida to spend their retirement years together.
She is survived by her daughter, Catherine (Dave) Detor; son, Edward James Donnelly; sisters, Faye Campbell, Margaret Yancey; grandchildren, Jessica (Matt) LaGrow, Jack (Christine) Greacen and Phillip (Kimberly) Greacen; 4 great grandchildren, Olivia, Lorelei, Ethan and Trevor.
Visitation will take place on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 9-10 am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse. A memorial service will follow at 10:00 am. A private burial will take place at a later time.
