1951 - 2018

Jacob D. Melchior, Jr., 67, of Jordan, passed away on Friday at home surrounded by family . He was born in Syracuse, New York on March 25, 1951 son of the late Jacob and Jane Melchior. He served in the US Marine Corps.

Jacob retired from New Venture Gear after many years. Jake enjoyed fishing, SU Sports and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. Jake loved his dog, Duke.

Jacob is survived by his wife Jean of 46 years; sons, John (Kristi), Jacob, III (Marleah), Jeffery (Pam), Joseph (Doreen); grandchildren, Alyssa, Erica, Danielle, Jacob IV, Morgan, Taylor, Jenna, Austn, Parker; great grandson, Mason; along with nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his (triplet) daughters, June, Joyce, Jeanette, (twin) granddaughters; Ashley & Alicia) and sister, Linda Ellis.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 11-1pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 North Main, N. Syracuse, with services at 1pm. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of CNY.
