Mathew was born in Syracuse, NY on December 29, 1982 to Richard and Sheila Chiumento.
Matt was full of life and always the life of the party. He was an excellent cook and loved camping. He touched many lives in his career working with children. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his loving fur companion, Rhett Butler.
He is survived by the Love of his life, Meagan Ernestine; Parents, Richard and Sheila; Brothers, Daniel (Sandy) and Corey; Nephews, Jayden and Owen; Aunts, Sherry Bowman and Toni (Andrew) Markusz; Grandparents, John and Beatrice Bowman and Grandmother, Delores Chiumento; as well as several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will take place on Friday, October 5, from 4-7 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse. A celebration of life will follow at 7 PM at the funeral home.
Please join us following the service to honor Matt at the N. Syracuse Community Center at 700 South Bay Rd, N. Syracuse.
