Robert “Bob” E. Brown, 85, of Syracuse, passed away on Friday at the Onondaga Center in Minoa surrounded by family.

He was born on August 18, 1933 in Auburn, NY, son of the late Peter Brown and Erma McIntyre Rawson.

Robert attended West High in Auburn, CCBI in Syracuse, and served in the US Army in Germany from 1953-1955.

Robert worked Production & Inventory Control at Rockwell Manufacturing in Syracuse for 20 years, and for the Security Dept. at MONY in Syracuse.

Bob enjoyed watching the NY Yankees and SU Basketball. He loved rollerskating, bingo at the Turning Stone Casino, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Cathleen (Vincent) Yates of Cicero, 5 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, Charlotte, sisters, Patricia Curtis, Linda Southard, brother-in-law, Pat McDonald, along with many nieces, nephews, & longtime friend and companion Marge Bastedo. He was predeceased by his sister, Lucille McDonald.

Services will be private.

Robert's final resting place will be at Onondaga Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
