Joseph R. Nandin, 95, of Liverpool, New York passed away peacefully on October 25, 2018.

Joseph was born in Manhattan to Spanish immigrants José and Theresa Nandin moving to Barranquilla, Colombia after serving in World War II where he met and married his wife of 64 years, Yolanda Beatrice Donado.

Joe served in the United States Army during World War II stationed in France. Joe was awarded the France Legion of Honor Medal in December 2016 as well as the American Service Medal; European/African Middle Eastern Service Medal; Presidential Unit Citation and WWII Victory Medal.

After returning to the United States, Joe was a self-employed real estate broker.

Joe was predeceased by his son, Richard, and two sisters, Bella Palese (Carmine) and Emellia Castrovinci (Anthony).

Joe is survived by his wife Yolanda; son, Robert (Marilyn); daughter, Silvana; a sister, Josephine LeGendre; grandchildren, Matthew (Lindsay), Keith, Phillip (Krystina), Morgan and Kara; twin great-granddaughters, Avery and Harper; long time family friend Toni; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call November 23, 2018, 2pm-4pm, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St, North Syracuse, NY 13212, with a service to follow.
