Born and raised in Hermon, NY, to the late Carlton and Phyllis Allen, she was graduate of Hermon & DeKalb Central School and worked at Price Chopper Cicero, NY for 30 years as a cashier and front end supervisor, retiring in 2013. While employed at Price Chopper Mary acquired many new friends, both working associates and customers, many of who still ask about her to this day.
Predeceased in addition to her parents are five siblings; Marjorie Hammond, Marion Perkins, Phyllis Reed, Debbie Downing and Carlton Allen. Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 51 years Thomas E. Derosia , three sons Randy (Chris) Allen, Parish, NY, Jeffrey (Sue) Allen, Dexter, NY, Thomas (Kerrie) Derosia, Highlands Ranch, CO, one sister Nancy (Hubert) Schofell, Belleview, FL, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, 4-7 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse with a service to follow at 7 PM. A graveside service will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Central NY.
