John P. "Ranger" Keegan Jr.
1957 - 2018

John P. “Ranger” Keegan, Jr., 61, of Baldwinsville, passed away at home on Thursday with his family by his side.

He attended West Genesee High School, leaving prior to graduation to serve in the U.S. Army from 1975-1977.

He worked for Schwann delivery service for several years, earning many sales awards. He went on to pursue his dream of driving on the open road, driving for Arnold Industries, receiving numerous consecutive safe driving awards. He eventually retired to spend more time at home with his family. After retiring from the trucking industry, he worked for Century Transport and Suburban Transportation providing airport taxi service.

John was an avid bowler; he bowled in several leagues over the years winning many awards. During his time bowling he achieved a near perfect game, scoring 299 for a total of 752 pins in a 3 game series.

John will be remembered for his wicked sense of humor. He was an avid computer gamer and hockey fan. He especially enjoyed following the Syracuse Crunch, Tampa Bay Lightning and the New York Rangers. He was also a big New York Yankees fan. He even traveled once a year to different cities to watch them play.

His greatest pride was watching his children, Williamina, John III and Elizabeth graduate from high school. He also took pride in their individual successes including his son, John III serving in the U.S. Navy and his daughter, Elizabeth serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. John was proud to be known as “tickle monster” and “Ampa” to his grandsons.

John was predeceased by his former wife, Diann S. (Watkins) Keegan; mother, Beverly (McAskill) Keegan and father, John P. Keegan, Sr.

John is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jacqueline; children, Williamina Arduini, John P.
