Deborah Stawiarz, 64, of North Syracuse, passed away on Friday, January 11th. She was born in Syracuse to the late Dorothea and George Emerson. She was a life member and Chaplain of the VFW Auxillary Post 7290 and a member of the Ladies Auxillary American Legion Post 1832.

Deborah was predeceased by her nephew, Stephen Pomeroy.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, John Stawiarz; four children, Michael Emerson, David (Michelle) Sellin, Jessica (Jeremy) Bonaventura and Joseph Stawiarz; several grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Donna (Steve) Pomeroy, George Emerson, Jr. and Diane (Brock) Gorman and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 15th 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals in North Syracuse with a service to follow at 7pm.
