Robert "Bob" Traylor
1949 - 2019

Robert A. Traylor Jr., of Liverpool died at Loretto- Fahey on Friday, February 1st, 10 days after his 70th birthday, from COPD. He also had stage 4 lung cancer.

He was valedictorian of the class of 1966 at St. Vincent's, graduated in 1970 from Le Moyne College where he met his wife, and graduated from S.U. Law School in 1975. He served in the army in special weapons stationed in Germany from 1970-1972. He practiced law with the Scaccia Law Firm for 30 years and worked in his second career at the Liverpool Auto Zone for 8 years. Bob was a history buff, loved reading historical fiction, loved cars, attending car shows where he won many trophies, model car and ship building, going to the Liverpool library, taking day trips with his wife-especially to Clayton, NY, animals, and attending morning mass at St. Joseph the Worker.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Bonnie (Schmidt) Traylor; his twin sister Margaret Zrebiec of Jordan; a nephew Joseph Micale; and our St. Joseph the Worker morning mass family-who have helped us through this journey.

Bob's wife would also like to thank others who helped us including the Loretto-Fahey 3rd and 4th floors, St. Joseph's Hospital Units 1-5, 2-4, and the ICU, Dr. Agheli, Stephanie Doyle, PA, and Lisa at Brittonfield Hematology-Oncology, his lung doctors, Dr. El Bayadi and Darci, PA, and his family doctor Joy Commisso. Bob has donated his body to the anatomical gift program at Upstate. He was a longtime communicant of St. Joseph the Worker church and recently of Immaculate Heart of Mary. At both churches he was a greeter and lector which he greatly enjoyed.

Calling hours will take place Feb. 6 from 10am to 11am at St. Joseph the Worker Church in Liverpool with a memorial mass to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in Bob's name to the Humane Association of Central New York, 4915 1/2 West Taft Rd, Liverpool, NY.
