Samuel J. Scaravillo passed away peacefully on February 13th.
He was predeceased by his parents, Nunzio and Giosipina Scaravillo and his brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Shirley Scaravillo, Nicholas and Ellie Scaravillo.

He was a life time resident of Syracuse’s Northside and graduated from North High School and Syracuse University. Sam served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. His work history included positions with Syracuse Hancock Airport, Anaren Microwave, Carrier Corporation and GE. He was a member of the Italian American Athletic Club and shared many good times with his lifelong devoted friends with whom he golfed, bowled and played bocci.

He is survived by his sister, Nancy Mathews; nieces, Diane Rodeghero (Jeffrey), Micheal Mathews-Rogers, Debra Dolasinski, Pamela Mandara and Christine Mathews; nephews, James Scaravillo and John Mathews, and several grand nieces and nephews and cousins. Sam will be dearly missed by his family and friends and beloved cat, Tequilla.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 23rd 4:30-7:30pm at the North Syracuse Community Center, 700 South Bay Road, N. Syracuse.
