Ernest was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on July 18, 1932. Following his two year service in the Korean War, for the next 50 years Ernest owned and operated Syracuse’s most esteemed and well known full service station, Desimone’s Service.
Ernest was known and loved by so many for his joyous demeanor and unmistakable smile. He enjoyed his days with those closest to him, and was undoubtedly a true family man.
He was preceded in death by, daughter Sheryl; son, Scott; grandson, Brandon.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Joan; daughters, Sandi McFarland & Debbie Luke; son, Ernest L. Desimone III; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; and his bulldog Bailey, his favorite little girl.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, from 4pm-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY 13212 where funeral services will be held at 7pm. Interment will be private.
