Marie (Keeler) North was welcomed into heaven on Wednesday, May 29th. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 23, 1927. She spent most of her childhood in Jamestown, New York. She graduated from Niagara University with a BS in nursing and worked at the Veterans Hospitals in Miami, Florida and Syracuse, New York.
She was pre-deceased by her parents, Lewis and Theresa Keeler; husband, John T. North; sisters, Eleanor Murray and Lois Hurley and a daughter Mary (North) Goux, married to Kevin Goux.
Marie is survived by daughters, Theresa North-Brzuszkiewicz, her husband Paul, and Patricia North as well as her sister, Ann Romeo.
She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Guenievere Schultz, Elizabeth (Horlander) Owens, her husband Jeremy, Jonathan Schultz and Ryan Goux, and his wife Christine.
Marie is also survived by her six beautiful great grandchildren Brandon, William and Kaley Owens, Jackson, Brantley and Sullivan Goux.
The family wishes to express their gratitude for the excellent care given to Marie by the wonderful caretakers at Loretto.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday June 9th at 11 am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
